Edmund A. (Ted) Egan, MD. President, Founder & Chief Medical Officer, ONY, Inc. Dr. Egan was a professor of Pediatrics & Physiology at the State University of New York at Buffalo and Chief of Newborn Medicine at Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo when he founded ONY in 1985 to help commercialize Infasurf (calfactant) the lung surfactant preparation that his laboratory had showed had impressive biophysical, biologic and clinical effects. He has led multiple successful research projects and clinical trials in lung surfactant research since the early 1980s. He is the Chief Executive Officer of ONY.
